9-13-08 Season opener host/musical guest revealed

8-time Gold medalist Michael Phelps will host the 9-13-08 season opener (yes, you've read right) of Saturday Night Live with Lil' Wayne as musical guest. This will be the start of the show's 22 episode season in lieu of the usual 20 due to the fact that last year's WGA strike paralyzed the show's live telecasts from Nov. 2007 until Feb. 2008, and the extra two live shows is NBC's way of catching up.
